Our Goal

The Breed Photography Project is a multi-year international endeavor to meet and photograph every dog breed and celebrate their rich histories through fine art photography.

Our mission is to create a book to serve as a lasting visual record of every dog breed, showcasing their unique beauty, and highlighting the dedication and passion that have shaped these breeds over generations.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Comprehensive Representation: We strive to capture the full spectrum of each breed, including variations in coat type, color, and working/show lines.

  • Historical Context: Whenever possible, dogs will be photographed in environments or engaged in activities that reflect their historical significance and purpose.

  • Artistic Vision: Each photograph will be a work of art, capturing the breed's essence with elegance and respect.

It takes approximately $200 in travel expenses to photograph each breed. Help us keep those wheels spinning so we can continue tracking down rare breeds.
